#NEVERAGAIN
All around the United States, there has been gun violence in our schools and
communities, and we are therefore, marching for our lives, and for our safety. I
believe that our lives need to be prioritized, and that we should stop these mass
shootings once and for all. Why do I think that there are so many more mass
shootings than there used to be? First of all, I believe the most important
reason is because of the changes that have occurred in our government.
Recently, billionaire Donald Trump has taken the position of President of the
United States. I think that his workers, as well as the government and most of
America, are still getting used to these changes. And I believe, that because
the government may be in a tiny bit of disarray, attackers are using these
opportunities, and taking advantage of this time. But I believe, that as soon as
the government can get back into shape and organize themselves, they will
immediately take charge of this situation, or at least I hope they will. Another
reason I think that there are so many more attacks these days is because I
believe that these generation’s children are growing up to be more violent. The
destructive video games, and violent movies they watch, can affect their young
minds, and corrupt them. When there was less technology around us, children grew up
in an innocent lifestyle.
I believe there are many ways to stop these mass shootings occurring in our
schools and communities. We can educate others about the mass shootings by
sharing information on social media or websites. We could have individual
conversations, or organize an educational forum or debate in school. We should
spread the news as much as we can, and push Congress to pass a legislation to
try and prevent these mass/minor shootings. We should be helping each other,
sticking together, and saving lives.
Furthermore, I believe Congress hasn’t been able to pass a legislation to
prevent these shootings, because as I said before, I believe they are a little bit
disoriented, and I believe that a soon as they have gotten used to the changes,
they will take actions against these mass shootings. As Joel Austeen once said, “
When you face difficult times, know that challenges are not sent to destroy
you. They’re sent to promote, increase and strengthen you.” This means that we must come together in the hardest times, and defend ourselves, and that in our
hardest hours, we will succeed and prevail justice.
